Tired of turkey? Then give this easy, fresh, and delicious recipe a try!

Tired of turkey?  So were we!  ThriftyGuy and I made this recipe last night and boy was it a delicious take on a food we were growing tired of!  It's so fresh and scrumptious, it'll have you saying, "More turkey please!"

Ingredients:

Juice and grated rind of 1 large lime
1 tsp. soy sauce
2 Tbsp. fresh cilantro
1 tsp. ground cumin
2 1/2 cups shredded turkey
6 8-inch flour tortillas
1 medium yellow onion, diced
Garlic (to your taste)
1/2 tsp. Kosher salt
1/2 tsp. coarse ground black pepper
Sour cream (optional)
Shredded Colby & Monterey Jack Cheese (optional)

Instructions:

1.  Preheat oven to 325F.  Stack tortillas and wrap in foil.  As soon as oven is ready, place tortillas in to warm.

2.  Whisk together the following ingredients:  lime juice and rind, cumin, soy sauce, and cilantro.  Toss in turkey and coat well.

3.  Heat olive oil in skillet over medium heat.  Saute diced onion, garlic (to your taste), Kosher salt, and pepper until onion is browned and soft.

4.  Spoon turkey mixture and onion mixture in center of tortilla.  If you like, add shredded cheese and sour cream. 

Enjoy!

Important Health Alert:Pain medication recall

So this post is a bit different than our usual deal posts, but as a nurse I feel the need to pass along this information!  I have to keep you all as safe as possible!  : )

If you or someone you know is taking the drug Propoxyphene (also known as Darvocet or Darvon), be advised that it has been pulled off the market.  It has been an issue of debate if the drug was effective enough at pain control, but now they have decided that the risks of heart problems are too great and have pulled it off the market effective immediately.  You can read more about it here.

If you or someone you love take this medication, you may want to contact your doctor ASAP to have them switch you to an alternative pain medication.
