Attention Parents: Check out this site!

I saw an ad for Goldfish cracker's website "Fishful Thinking" in the February 2010 issue of Family Circle Magazine.  It had an activity idea that I thought was brilliant:
"Work with your child to decorate a box that is kept on the table you eat at regularly. Keep a stack of index cards and crayons and markers next to the box. Two or three times a week, ask your child to write down or draw something good that happened, something good they saw or heard, remembered or accomplished. During a meal once a week, take turns pulling a treasure from the box and reading it aloud."
Even better yet - can you imagine keeping these cards and then giving them to your child when they are an adult?  How fun would it be to look back at all of those good memories together?

Fishful Thinking brands itself as "A resource for parenting positive kids."  It has all kinds of advice, tips, and fun (FREE!) activities that are positive, uplifting, and will make for some great quality time with your child.  Definitely a site worth checking out!  : )
