Product Reviews/Giveaways
PR firms and business owners - welcome! We love to test and review new products and host giveaways; it’s a great way to increase interest in your products/services! If you'd like to create more buzz on any family-friendly products or services, we’re here to help!
Here at ThriftyGrl we do not charge for reviews if product samples are provided for us to try and keep. Our reviews are detailed and honest, letting readers know exactly what we have experienced with your particular service/product. Each review receives its’ own personal attention, full of details, pictures, and links! If, for some reason, the review will not be positive, we will not post anything until we contact you and work to resolve the situation (should such an issue arise). Please be aware: We are not responsible for shipping charges. Samples/products will not be returned.
There is no charge for hosting giveaways if product samples are provided for us to review. It is the giveaway sponsor’s responsibility to ship the prize directly to the winner. This saves time, money, and having to ship the prize all over (which also helps save on valuable resources!)
Please let us know the following so that we can meet your giveaway expectations!
1. We prefer that the giveaway item is for the same item we reviewed. If this is not possible, please let us know what you prefer to provide for the giveaway (a specific monetary amount, a certain item, winner's choice, etc.)You can count on the following to occur for your review and giveaway:

3. Would you prefer the giveaway to be US only, US/Canada only, worldwide, etc?
4. How long would you like the giveaway to run for? Usually we try to run them for 2-4 weeks to get readers excited and get traffic flowing to your website.
5. Do you want to have any mandatory requirement of the giveaway (i.e.: entrants have to become a Facebook fan, Twitter follower, email subscriber, etc.)?
• We will email you once we receive your product and work quickly to review your product/service. Please be aware that we like to be honest about our experiences, so some products/services may take longer to review than others. All product reviews are done in a timely manner. If you have an expectation of how soon you would like to have your product/service reviewed, please be sure to mention this upfront and prior to sending your product. If there will be any delay in posting your review for whatever reason, we will contact you. We will remain in contact with you so as to keep you updated on where we are at and what is going on. Feel free to email us if you have any questions or concerns. If you want a preview of the review prior to it being posted, please mention this on your initial contact. Should we have a negative experience with your product, we will hold our review, contact you, and work with you to resolve the situation.
• Your product review will be thorough, honest, and contain pictures and links (as appropriate). We are not one or two-liners here; we write about our entire experience so that our readers know what your product is all about.
• The initial product review will be posted on our main page (in rotation with the rest of our postings), as well as permanently placed under our “Product Reviews” page.
• If you choose to do a giveaway, we will advertise for it in a separate post, as well as feature it under our "Giveaways" page. We will also create a button advertisement for the giveaway and place it on the upper right hand column of our website (under “Search My Site”). This is one of the first things people see when visiting our website and a very high-traffic area, which is great for promotion!If this sounds like something that would meet your business needs/expectations, please contact us!
• We will aggressively announce the giveaway through various social media venues, including Twitter and Facebook.
• We will place advertisements on dozens of other blogs/websites with similar/higher stats than ours. This is a great way to spread word on your product!
• Again, please note that it is your responsibility to send the giveaway prize to the selected winner. We will forward you all required contact information as requested within a timely manner following the giveaway so that the prize(s) can be sent accordingly.
