FAQ’s (and some really important info you won’t want to miss!) for ThriftyGrl email subscribers!

I get a lot of questions regarding being a ThriftyGrl email subscriber so I thought I would clear up some confusion.

1.  What does it mean to be an email subscriber?

If you sign up as an email subscriber, you receive a daily update of any and all new posts that are made on ThriftyGrl straight into your inbox (usually this is sent out around 11am). The email is an abbreviated version of the posts; it contains the headlines and then a sentence or two about what is in each post. That way, you can quickly scan through the days postings to find what you are interested in. If you are interested in reading the entire article, you can simply click on the headline of the post in the email and it will automatically take you to the full article.

2.  How do I become a subscriber?

· Go to the main page of ThriftyGrl

· In the upper right hand corner you will see a box that says, “Subscribe via Email”

· Enter your preferred email address in the box below

· Click “Subscribe”

· A pop up box will pop up verifying your email address; it will say the following, “ will receive a verification message once you submit this form. FeedBurner activates your subscription to “ThriftyGrl Daily Update” once you respond to this verification message.”

· You will have to type the CAPTCHA code (word) in the box to submit your request to be on the list. Click submit.

· You will see the following message, “Please check your inbox for a verification message from “FeedBurner Email Subscriptions”, the service that delivers email subscriptions for ThriftyGrl Daily Update. You will need to click a link listed in this message to activate your subscription.”

· It is *very important* that you check your email. You will receive a verification message from FeedBurner Email Subscriptions and will need to click a link on it to actually activate your subscription so that you begin receiving ThriftyGrl emails. If you do not do this, you will not be a subscriber. ***This is what it means to be a verified email subscriber.***

· Once you have completed this, you will start receiving emails immediately (as soon as the next email goes out).

3.  I was receiving emails but now I am not.

· Check your spam folder. Sometimes after awhile the updates hit your spam folder.

· To prevent this, add the email address jen@thriftygrl.com to your address book so that the updates always come to your inbox! : )
