A bit of advice before you buy the Entertainment book...

Many of you are probably familiar with the Entertainment Book.  It can be a great way to save money if one is available for your area (and you are actually going to use it).  I used to think it was just for fast food, but throughout the past few years, they have really ramped it up to not only include fine dining, but also car rentals, local entertainment, and even some retail store discounts.  We like to keep ours in the car so that if we are out and about, we can see what coupons we have before choosing where to eat at.  I also like to look at the book when I first get it to have an idea of what sort of coupons I would like to use throughout the year.

Anyway, I know that many stores (including CVS!) and blog sites are pushing the sale of these books right now.  The normal retail price is around $35-$40 (depending on where you live).  I'll be honest and tell you that I am not sure of what the shipping charges normally are since I have never paid them.  Anyway, since the book just came out for the 2010 year, people are going crazy that it is $5 off (some places are even offering $10 coupons) with free shipping.  If I may just offer a bit of advice on this...

If you aren't in a complete rush to get the book, wait for a little while.  After the first of the year, the price tends to take a nosedive.  (You will still have plenty of time to use the coupons and get your money's worth, trust me!)  That is when I usually buy the book for around $15 with free shipping.  Also, I buy mine from the website itself (Entertainment.com); however, if you do MyPoints (which I highly recommend - it is one of the easiest, best rewards programs out there), they also tend to give you 750 to 1000 MyPoints for the purchase of the book!

Anyway, I just wanted to throw that bit of advice out there for you, as I see many stores and blog sites going crazy over the books being $25 to $30 with free shipping.  If you can just wait a bit longer, you can get the same thing for $10-$15 cheaper (and score 750 - 1000 MyPoints); all with free shipping!

Hope this helps!  : )
