Heads up on an awesome new website! Very helpful, FREE to use, and helps protect YOUR privacy!

Ever list an online ad (say, on craigslist or something similar) and get the heebie-jeebies about putting your telephone number out there for all to see/obtain/prank call you at?

I have the same feelings/hesitation. And then I found a new website, inumbr. It is a website that allows you to protect your privacy by providing you with a free, auto-expiring anonymous phone number that forwards calls to your home or mobile phone. Equally as awesome is that the callers cannot see or obtain your home or mobile number.

The one downfall is that it is only available for certain cities (Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Las Vega, Los Angeles, Miami, New Jersey, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Portland, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle, St. Louis, Washington DC). You can set the number to expire in 1 hour, 1 day, or 1 week. They even offer advanced control options such as checking and replaying voicemail online, not accepting calls from telemarketers, and (I like this one) a Do Not Disturb feature where you will not receive any calls from 9pm until 8am. Niiiiice.

The only thing left to say? Genius! Where has this been all these years?!
