1. Home Depot offers Kid’s Workshops that are FREE “How-To-Workshops” for children ages 5- 12. These workshops are offered on the first Saturday of each month between 9am to noon at all Home Depot stores. Click here for more info.

2. Home Depot also offers Free Home Improver Workshops for Adults.  Here is the list for January:
          • Interior Painting: Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.
          • Tiling Floors and Walls: Saturdays from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.
          • Installing Door Hardware: Saturdays from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m.

3. Lowe’s Build and Grow Clinic: Lowe’s offers Kid’s Workshops that are FREE. They are offered on Saturdays between 10am to 11am. You do have to register in advance for these; hurry – I think they fill up fast! They are currently offering:

       -Tabletop Basketball: Saturday, March 13, 10:00am – 11:00am
       -Kaleidoscope: Saturday, March 27, 10:00am – 11:00am

4. Williams-Sonoma offers the following for FREE!

• Demonstrations:
At select Williams-Sonoma stores, regularly scheduled demonstrations focus on seasonal foods and entertaining.  All are led by culinary experts and offered at no charge.

• Technique Classes:
Hour-long technique classes at your local Williams-Sonoma store. Presented free of charge, each class is dedicated to a specific topic and led by one of their culinary experts. Class size is limited, see website for class descriptions and reservation information.

5. Michaels is having a bunch of FREE events and classes (US & Canada)!
     -Saturday, March 6, 10am - 1pm: Make it and take it: Free yarn project
     -Sunday, March 7, 1pm - 5pm: Make it and take it: Write your name canvas (*Supplies cost $2.99)
     -Saturday, March 13, 1pm - 5pm: Make it and take it:  Free Fun with Beads project
     -Sunday, March 14, 1pm - 3pm: Make it and take it:  Lady Bug Clay Pot (*Supplies cost $1)
     -Saturday, March 20, 1pm - pm: Michael's Birthday Bash!  Free fashion paint and instruction with purchase of a t-shirt.
     -Sunday, March 21, 1pm - 3pm: Make it and take it: Easter Egg (*Supplies cost $4.19 for medium eggs or $5.99 for large eggs)
     -Friday, March 26, 5pm - 8:45pm: Michael's Crop Night - Scrapbook and use their equipment! (Spot reservations cost $5 unless you have proof of a $10 scrapbooking purchase in the past 30 days!)     -Saturday, March 27, 10am - 1pm: Free family event - Spring Thing - Crayola Presto Dots
     -Sunday, March 28, 1pm - 3pm: FREE Wilton Spring Cookie Decorating Demo

6.  Hollywood Tan: On Saturday, March 6th, Hollywood Tan is offering FREE tans (including Mystic!)  Click here for more info!

7.  Qdoba: Kid's eat FREE every Saturday in March!  Click here for more info!

8. Chips Ahoy:  Starting Monday March 1st (and the first Monday of every month for the rest of the year), Nabisco will be giving away FREE Chips Ahoy cookies.  Click here for more info!

9.  Ben & Jerry's:  Ben & Jerry's have announced that their Free Cone day is March 23, 2010! Stop by from noon to 8pm to get a free scoop! Click here for more info!
