How did ThriftyGrl come about? I am just an ordinary girl who likes to pay it forward and help others out. Growing up, money was tight and I watched as my mom made the best with what we had. She showed me a thing or two, and before I knew it, I was following in her footsteps.
Why the red bird logo everywhere? I wanted to pay tribute to my Gram, who was the greatest person you would have ever had the privilege of meeting. She was classy, spirited, giving, and brilliant beyond belief. She was such an exemplary role model and positive influence in my life. She was my best friend. Growing up, my Gram always stressed the importance of "The Golden Rule" and helping others whenever possible. I am so proud of all the things (both small and great) that she has taught me. ThriftyGrl is my tribute to her. Cardinals were her favorite, therefore the red bird logo is my subtle way to reference her (and how important she truly was to me).
